How can I add a mobile phone number to my EU Login account?

To add a mobile phone number to your EU Login account and use it with the "Mobile Phone + SMS" authentication option, please follow these steps:

  1. Navigate using your browser to My Account
  2. Login with your email address + password.
  3. Click on "Manage my mobile phone numbers".
    This action may require stronger authentication if you already added other second factors to your account. In case you cannot use your configured second factor, please follow this guide: An application requires a second factor authentication, but I do not have access to it anymore
  4. Click on “Add a telephone number”
  5. Insert your mobile phone number in the following format: +"country code" and "cell phone number" without '0'
  6. Click on "Add"
  7. The next page indicates: "The mobile phone number was added successfully"
  8. The application will send an SMS with the following text: The following mobile phone number was added to your EU Login account + <your mobile number>.
