I try to connect with my mobile phone, but I get an error message “Invalid phone number”, what can I do?

IMPORTANT: The decision was taken to remove the SMS as authentication method: Phase out of EU Login authentication using SMS. Please make sure to configure another second factor authentication method so you are ready when this decision is implemented. In the meantime please:

  1. Navigate using your browser to My Account
  2. Login with your email address + password.
  3. Click on "Manage my mobile phone numbers".
    This action may require stronger authentication if you already added other second factors to your account. If you cannot use your second factor anymore, please follow these instructions: An application requires a second factor authentication, but I do not have access to it anymore
  4. Click on “Add a telephone number”
  5. Insert your mobile phone number in the following format: +"country code" and "cell phone number" without '0'
  6. Click on "Add"
  7. The next page indicates: "The mobile phone number was added successfully"
  8. The application will send an SMS with the following text: The following mobile phone number was added to your EU Login account + <your mobile number>.
