EU Login offers an Acceptance environment which can be used for testing purposes and to validate the latest release integration with other systems.
The main purpose is to confirm the integration between EU Login and the systems it protects is working correctly after a new release is deployed, and before it is deployed in Production.
EU Login acceptance looks and behaves almost the same as the Production environment, however the configuration of a user account is independent from the one used in Production.
In practice, the EU Login acceptance user account needs its own password and the configuration of second factors is independent from the production account.
What second factors can I configure in Acceptance?
The Trusted Platform Module (TPM), Security keys and Tokens can be added to your Acceptance account in the same way that they would in Production. The Passkeys can also be added to your EU Login Acceptance account, both on a mobile device or in a Password Manager (cloud based, less secured).
You may also use your eID if made available by your National Administration. the eIDAS nodes also have an acceptance environment which allow you to have your eID tlinked to both Production and Acceptance environments.
The EU Login mobile application available on the public Google Play and App Store does not yet support the connection to Acceptance. However we do have an Acceptance EU Login mobile app version package that can be made available to you for installing it directly on your mobile device. This version of the mobile App is also foreseen to be published on 10th of December 2024 only in the EC stores for MDM enrolled devices. For more information about this version of the mobile app, please contact your Support Team: Still need help with EU Login?
What second factor can I use to authenticate on my remote server?
There may be cases where your physical computer is not passing hardware based information to your browser running on a remote server.
- In case your remote server has an internet connection: Use the Acceptance EU Login Mobile app with PIN or or a Passkey stored in a Password Manage
- In case your remote server is isolated from the internet: Use the Acceptance EU Login Mobile app with the QR code option
